For multidisciplinary practices at one location

One calendar for different disciplines

Link appointment types to the appropriate care providers. Front-office staff keep a practice-wide overview, while each team member works with their own current appointments.

One current schedule across multiple disciplines

In a multidisciplinary practice, an online appointment needs more than an empty time: it must reach the appropriate discipline, service and care provider. Tempo Booking combines those links with availability per team member, one shared calendar and central appointment communication for a team working at one location.

Connect every service to the right team members

Different disciplines each offer their own consultations or treatments, so a generic time slot does not show who can provide an appointment. Tempo Booking lets you create recognisable appointment types for those services and link each type to one or more suitable care providers. Patients can then choose only from the team members connected to that appointment.

Availability also remains personal. Practice hours provide the shared framework, while work blocks and absences are configured for each team member. An absence removes the affected times from online availability. The offering continues to reflect the actual capacity of every discipline without requiring front-office staff to compare free times manually.

The result comes together in one practice calendar. Front-office staff retain a practice-wide overview of requests, confirmations, changes and statuses, while every care provider works with their own current appointments. Both perspectives use the same information, avoiding separate versions of the schedule for each discipline.

Move from team setup to a shared working day

Begin with the team and services that should be available online. Set the duration for each appointment type and select the care providers who offer it. Then combine practice hours with every team member's work blocks and absences. At practice level, decide whether online bookings are confirmed immediately or arrive as requests.

Through the booking page or widget, a patient chooses a suitable appointment and then selects from the linked care providers and available times. The booking enters the shared calendar. Front-office staff manage the practice-wide flow, while the relevant team member sees the same appointment in their own current overview.

Confirmations, changes and reminders are sent from that appointment flow. Patient and appointment communication therefore remains central even when several disciplines share the practice workspace. If an appointment is marked as a no-show, it also enters the open follow-up list so the outstanding work stays visible.

A multidisciplinary route within one practice location

Suppose your practice offers several services that are not provided by every team member. You link each service to the appropriate care providers, give it a suitable duration and configure availability per person. A patient then sees only the team members and times that match the selected appointment.

The appointment appears in one calendar regardless of discipline. Front-office staff review a request when needed and retain the practice-wide overview; the care provider continues from their own current appointments. An absence updates the online offering, while communication follows the appointment status.

This workflow is intended for a multidisciplinary team at one practice location. Multiple locations within one practice workspace are not currently supported. Tempo Booking does not schedule rooms or equipment as separate resources and does not replace discipline-specific clinical records or billing systems.
